USAID and Tose together for a better education in Macedonia

Tose Proeski, one of Macedonia’s most popular vocalists, is partnering with PEP to offer a benefit concert in Skopje in support of improving public education.

The tentative date of the concert is September 22, on the City Stadium. We believe that Tose’s music and popularity will help PEP to focus the national attention on the importance of improving primary education. The money for the schools will be raised through tickets, T-shirts and CD-ROM sales and corporate sponsorships. School community partnerships will be fostered and the message that improving the education is everyone’s concern will be conveyed. Along with donating his own time at the concert, Tose will recruit other Macedonian singers that represent other ethnic groups to emphasize the importance of coming together for the good of the whole nations.
Prior to the concert, Tose would:

Have talk show on a national TV regarding PEP education roll out campaign and the concert
Have TV auction and donate collected money for the primary schools
Invite the talented pupils in professional music studio and give them opportunity to have a first hand experience on recording songs
Encourage other fundraising activities for improving the education throughout the country
