Draft School-Based Assessment Standards |
Have your say on the Draft School-Based Assessment Standards !On 20 June 2007, the Draft School Based Assessment Standards in Primary Education, developed by the PEP Assessment Working Group were presented to representatives from ten schools selected for implementing the standards during a first phase from September 2007. The meeting was held in the Primary School Kuzman Josifovski Pitu, Skopje and was attended by the school directors and school coordinators from the ten schools, USAID representatives, PEP staff members, representatives from the Bureau for Development of Education and the State Education Inspectorate, as well as representatives from the municipality of Kisela Voda, where the host school is located.
will have a leading role and will become model schools for improving school - based assessment. These schools have already taken initiatives for improving assessment. Zlata Ancevska, a psychologist from the host school and a member of the PEP Assessment Working Group, spoke of the reasons why the school is participating. “As a result of the participation of our school in other projects for improving education, the pupils and teachers recognize that there is a need, as well as a desire, to work on improving assessment.” The Draft School Based Assessment Standards will be reviewed in these schools and discussed with the members of the PEP Assessment Working Group. Opinions about the Standards will also be obtained from international experts and all relevant suggestions will be incorporated.
