Tetovo hosts the latest PEP Film Evening

For the last 3 years, during the winter months, PEP has presented acclaimed feature films with educational themes to an invited audience of professional colleagues.

The latest film evening was held on 27th January in the Art Media Center, Tetovo, PEP presented the American film “The Water is Wide”. The audience of around 60 people included teachers, directors, BDE advisors, municipal officials, psychologists and pedagogues. The film provoked a lively discussion about the introduction of reforms in schools.

The next two film evenings will be held in Strumica, on 25th February and in Ohrid, on the 25th March.

The movies shown are subtitled in Albanian and Macedonian. Following each showing, we have organized a discussion of issues raised by the film with comments and questions from the audience. The aims are to:

  • Provide an uplifting, motivational professional experience
  • Develop a collegiate team-spirit amongst PEP partners
  • Provide an opportunity to meet in an informal, relaxed setting to consider and discuss professional issues and to provide professional development opportunities
  • Raise the level of professional discussion beyond the technical to a philosophical level
  • Expose the audience to educational issues and practice in other countries

You can see a list of the movies available and details about them on our website www.pep.org.mk .  If you would like to borrow any of the films to show in your school to your colleagues, please contact Ilir Zajazi at izajazi@pep.org.mk or by phone at 02 3061620.
