The children of Sumnal Center make 8th March extra-special for PEP

On 8 March, the annual International Women Day is celebrated all around the world. This year our staff and particularly those of the female gender were surprised and happy by the visit of five children from the Sumnal Center. This center organizes different educational, social and character building activities for disadvantaged children.

The five children filled the PEP office with joy, laughter and songs. They sang special songs for the day, in Macedonian and also in English language. Beside this they gave all of the women very beautiful handmade cards. The cards contained words full of love for this day. This is the second visit of children from “Sumnal” to PEP. Just like the first time, we were happy to have such great guests.

After the visit PEP Office and Operations Manager, Slobodanka Velickova said, “Eighth of March for me is a special day, a day when I remember the privileges we as women enjoy today.  Not always in the past have women enjoyed the right to education, to choose their own profession and had the right to vote.  I was happy and privileged to receive a handmade greeting card from the children of “Sumnal” celebrating this day.  The children have expressed their creativity and love in making those cards, and that gift is priceless.  Their visit brought happiness into this snowy work day and their flowers announced the coming spring”.

As well as enjoying their welcome, the children also enjoyed the drinks and snacks provided by PEP staff.
