PEP ASSESSMENT COMPONENT PRESENTED TO INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN SLOVENIJA
The activities and achievements of PEP’s Improving School-Based Assessment component were presented in the plenary session of the International conference that took place on March 11 and 12 in Celje Slovenia.
Component specialist Gorica Mickovska in her presentation: The value of feedback information in the process of learning and teaching, described the challenges faced in school based assessment in Macedonia and the current Project activities. In particular she focused on providing assessment feedback to students and gave evidence of improved feedback in assessment practice as a result of PEP’s activities. Participants in the conference show great interest in assessment practice in Macedonia.
The keynote speaker on the Conference was emeritus professor Paul Black from King’s College London, one of the most famous researchers in the field of assessment. Gorica was able to share with him PEP experience and future plans for improving SBA and to discuss relevant issues.
