Assessment for Learning in New 140 Schools
From January 2009 new 143 have been involved in PEP component: Improving School-based Assessment, so number of schools that systematically work on implementation of School-based Assessment Standards is raised to 203.
With the new cohort of schools a new phase in workshops delivering has been started. In the four days workshops from each school were participated 3-4 representatives. After few months practicing the new assessment approaches, they will, alongside the assessment learning facilitators, deliver workshops for their colleagues at schools.
During the workshops it was noticeable that schools’ representatives were highly motivated and interested in the new assessment approaches. They were very enthusiastic and, in the same time, showed positive concerns to their new future role in workshops delivery in their schools.
Raising the number of the schools in the component: Improving School-based Assessment will contribute shearing the idea that teacher’s assessment is primarily for better learning.
