PEP HELPS TEACHERS TO SHARE GOOD ASSESSMENT PRACTICES
On 17th June, an award ceremony for participants in the contest for the best assessment practices took place in hotel Alexandar Palace. The ceremony aimed to recognize and value teachers who are using good assessment practices in their teaching. Examples of assessment (video taped or written) were collected for use during workshops and inclusion in manuals and other professional development materials.
The 46 examples received demonstrated a variety of methods in almost all school subjects. Videos of the best 6 examples were shown on the ceremony.
“Aiming to collect good assessment examples we relied on the teachers’ generosity to share their knowledge and practice with colleagues” said Gorica Mickovska, assessment component leader.
“It was challenge for me, as a learning facilitator, to participate on the contest to expose my practice to objective assessment by respectable experts and to examine if I am on the right way”, said Anita Angelovska, one of the winners.
Sonja Ilovska, also a winner said “I was happy to show how self and peer assessment motivated my students to work harder and to achieve more”.
