Grade 1 students want to be scientists too!



When Grade 1 students, from Primary school Dimitar Miladinov in Skopje, saw their older colleagues from grades 7 and 8 working on their “Environmental energy transfer Machine”.(*see below) They asked their teacher if they could make one.

Their teachers reported, “They were very interested about the machine developed by older students in their school, and decided to develop their own machine. Seven and

eight grade students were very happy to explain their work and to show examples of energy transfer.”

The Class 1 students prepared a small performance and presented their machine at PEP’s “Road Show” in Skopje on 30th April. Click here to view the performance!





* In February PEP announced a competition for teams of primary schoolstudent’s involving developing an “Environmental energy transfer machine” integrating physics and technology classes. 16 Primary schools completed machines that were presented in different cities during the PEP Road show in April.
