PEP Launches New Resources for Teachers
On 21th October 2009 PEP presented its latest products, “Manual for the 21st Century Classroom”, the so-called “Toolbox” online portal http://toolbox.pep.org.mk as well as the “Manual for Creating Learning Environment for the 21st Century”.
The event took place in the “Macedonian Cinematique” in Skopje. Many teachers, school principals, municipality representatives, as well Government officials and representatives of the MoES attended.
The “Toolbox” is an online repository specifically designed for Macedonian teachers. Here they can find teaching resources which will help them improve and modernize their teaching methods. The resources vary from videos depicting classroom activities, manuals, practice examples, standards, expert materials, recommended equipment as well as useful links.

The “Manual for the 21st Century Classroom” is designed to help Macedonia teachers to understand current trends in education, to use contemporary teaching approaches, and to develop visions of quality teaching that will help students develop essential skills and attitudes needed in 21st century society. All primary school teachers will be receiving a copy of this manual.
The “Manual for Creating a Learning Environment for the 21st Century” developed by PEP’s partner organization “Step by Step” Foundation will be distributed to all lower primary teachers. However, additional copies will also be distributed to schools, as aspects are appropriate for all teachers. Included in the manual is a specially prepared video film that can be used in professional development activities in schools.
Please contact the PEP office if you do not receive copies of the manuals in your school.
